 Administrative and Community Economic Development Assistant
 Full-time, 20-35 hours/week
Pay Range: $22.50 - $25.00
Community Futures Nicola Valley is seeking an Administrative/Community Economic Development Assistant. Reporting to the General Manager, this position is primarily responsible to assist and support the General Manager, Staff and Board at CFNV. Required Competencies:
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with a willingness to learn Common Goals programs and Web design
• Receptionist duties and represent CFNV as a Community Liaison
• Attention to detail and accountability, as well as excellent organization and time management skills
• Works well in a team with a can-do attitude
• Self-starter with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
Job Responsibilities:
• Assistance and input in Annual Operations Plan and Annual Performance Reports to PacifiCan.
• Board of Directors support including orientations, agendas, meeting minutes and general correspondence.
• Clerical duties including reception, filing, responding to emails, etc.
• Liaise with community organizations and participate in community functions organized by CFNV.
• Identify potential Community Economic Development projects and activities and assist in preparation and presentation for Board approval.
• Planning, coordination and completion of projects.
• Identifying and communicating funding resources.
• Creating and publishing marketing content on CFNV social media profiles.
• Bookkeeping assistance as required.
• Project based assistance including planning, coordination, execution, completion and reporting.
• Enter and maintain information in internal TEA database.
• Maintain contact and email distribution lists.
• Provide additional support duties to other staff as required.
Qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working in an administrative role and/or basic bookkeeping experience or knowledge is an asset but not required.
• Experience in working with a Board of Directors in a not-for-profit organization.
• Proficient in word processing and spreadsheets.
• Ability to work in CANVA an asset
