Looking for a rewarding career in mining? Nicola Mines is hiring for multiple positions on day and night shifts (12-hour shifts, 7 days). $28.00 to $41.50 per hour, totally depending on skill level and position

Available Positions:

Labourer

• Reliable
• Provide general support and assistance to skilled tradespeople on various mining projects and sites.
• Assist with site preparation, clearance, and maintaining overall site tidiness.
• Operate, clean, and maintain tools and equipment.
• Collect samples and ensure site safety is upheld.
• A strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative are essential.

Operators

• Work in a team
• Monitor processes and equipment to ensure smooth operations.
• Operate heavy equipment, including bins, conveyors, chutes, pumps, valves, crushers, flotation cells, cyclones, thickeners, screeners, weigh scales, and front-end loaders.
• Be prepared to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme heat or cold.

Millwright

• Maintain and repair machinery, including crushers, conveyors, ball mills, slurry pumps, and assorted milling equipment.
• Small crew—everyone contributes across multiple tasks, including maintenance, welding, fabricating, and basic machining.
• Must be comfortable working with older-model equipment and adapting to ongoing modifications.
• Creativity and problem-solving are highly valued.

Electrician

• Perform electrical maintenance and troubleshooting to support plant operations.
• Work with 600V three-phase power and various control power voltages (220V, 120V).
• Assist with automation projects—motor controls range from hardwired interlocks and push-button starts to PLC remote starts.
• Must be willing to take on additional tasks beyond electrical duties to maintain production.

Requirements for All Roles:

• Must be local with a reliable vehicle for commuting.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts (day and night rotation).
• Strong work ethic, adaptability, and willingness to contribute to various tasks.
• Ability to work in an evolving mining environment.
