Looking for a Janitorial / Custodian  Fixed term contract, Part-time, Temporary

$25–$30 an hour

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all visitors and staff. This role requires a strong commitment to cleanliness and the ability to perform a variety of cleaning tasks efficiently.

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting to maintain a clean environment.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and common areas regularly.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly.
• Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of the building.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel promptly.
• Follow safety procedures and use appropriate cleaning supplies to ensure a safe working environment.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, notifying management when stock is low.

Requirements

• Previous experience in commercial cleaning or facilities maintenance is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Good physical stamina; ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and chemical safety is a plus.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week

Expected start date: 2025-07-21
