Is looking for a Temporary, Seasonal, Full-time Loader Operator - Logging
$30–$34 an hour
We are seeking a skilled Log Loader / Decking Operator to join our Logging Operation. The Loader Operator will be primarily responsible for decking for skidders. Occasionally, the operator may load short logs onto logging trucks and must be able to do so safely and efficiently. Experience is a mandatory requirement of this position.
Duties
- Operate and maintain the loader in a safe and efficient manner
- Work within close proximity of other equipment. Communication is key for safety.
- Load logs into variety of truck & trailer configurations
- Perform routine maintenance on the loader and other equipment as needed
- Ensure all safety guidelines are followed during operations
- Brush pile, help skidding team when necessary, work as part of a team effort
Experience
- Previous experience operating log loaders
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed
