Now Hiring: Maintenance Worker- ASK Wellness Society
Location: 2196 Quilchena Avenue, Merritt, BC
Wage: $25.95–$29.76/hour
Position Type: Full-Time | Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM (37.5 hrs/week)
ASK Wellness Society is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Worker to join our Property Services team in Merritt. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on maintenance experience who thrives in a collaborative, client-centered, and trauma-informed environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
• Perform general building and grounds maintenance including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting
• Conduct safety inspections and routine preventative maintenance
• Monitor contractors and submit repair recommendations
• Maintain landscaping and outdoor cleanliness
• Transport equipment, supplies, and furniture
• Attend Safety and PQI team meetings as needed
Qualifications:
• Grade 12 education or equivalent; building maintenance training is an asset
• Minimum 1 year of related experience
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation
• Occupational First Aid Level 1 (or willingness to obtain)
• Criminal Record Check (vulnerable sector) required
• Comfortable working in a pet-friendly setting
