Description
A private household in Merritt is looking for a caring and reliable Child Caregiver to provide a safe, nurturing, and fun environment for children. This is a permanent position with options for full-time or part-time hours.
Position Details:
- Pay: $19/hour
- Type: Permanent, Part-time or Full-time
- Hours: Approximately 30 hours per week
- Location: Merritt, BC (Private Home)
Your Responsibilities:
- Supervise and care for children in the home
- Bathe, dress, feed, and prepare children for rest periods
- Change diapers and assist with toilet training
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
- Organize activities such as games, crafts, and outings
- Perform light household tasks: laundry, ironing, and maintaining order
- Accompany children to school, appointments, and activities
- Tend to children’s emotional well-being and follow parents’ instructions
Qualifications:
- Secondary (high school) diploma or GED
- 7 months to less than 1 year of childcare experience
- First Aid Certification (required)
- Physically able to manage childcare and household tasks
- Personal traits: flexible, organized, reliable, patient, and honest
