Looking for 2 Full Time Early Childhood Educators (ECE) and a Early Childhood Educator Assistants (ECEA)
$25-$28/hr for the ECEA and $27-$32/hr for the ECE
To qualify, you will need a valid ECE or ECE Assistant license to practice in B.C., or equivalent licensing with the aim to transfer. Experience working in a licensed childcare facility or early childhood education setting is preferred. A driver's license and reliable vehicle is required.
Additional requirements include:
- Valid Emergency Child Care First Aid Certificate recognized by Child Care Licensing Regulations, or willing to obtain
- Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal record check through the Province of B.C.
- Record of immunization history and proof of education documentation
- Basic computer skills or willingness to learn MS Word, Excel, and Office
Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:
- Knowledge of the Community Care and Assisted Living Act and Child Care Licensing Regulations
- Familiarity with Indigenous Early Years Framework, ECEBC Code of Ethics, and culturally safe early learning practices
- Understanding of child development across mental, physical, social, emotional, and spiritual domains
- Ability to plan, organize, and deliver engaging and age-appropriate programming
- Knowledge and appreciation of Indigenous culture, values, and cross-cultural considerations
