Mar-king Logistics ltd. DBA "Mar-king Vac Truck Service" is a local, 100% First Nations owned septic and portable water service company based out of Merritt B.C. Our vac trucks pump septic tanks, provide industrial vacuuming, catch basin cleaning, sewer/storm drain cleaning, flood clean up, restaurant grease trap cleaning and provide sludge removal service. We have a camera with a recording device to provide customers with a view of what the obstruction in their line may be which allows us to create a plan of action to clear the blockage. Mar-king also offers portable water delivery from an Interior Health approved source of water to remote locations with self-contained wash car units or holding tanks. 

position: Class 3, Class 1, or Class 5 Truck Driver 

Type: Full-time / On-Call

Responsibilities 

• Operation of straight vac pumping system 
• Preform maintenance/ servicing of trucks as needed 
• Maintain accurate logs and reports of daily activities, submitted daily 
• Flexibility with Portable Toilet Truck, Water Truck and Vac truck operations 
• All other duties as required 

Qualifications 

• Valid Class 3,1,or 5 Drivers license 
• Must obtain clean drivers abstract 
• Strong mechanical knowledge 
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous vac truck Driving experience is an asset 
• Strong observational and problem-solving-skills 
• Excellent communicational and interpersonal abilities 
• Ability to work independently and handle stressful situations calmly 
• Must be reliable and punctual 
• A willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends if needed
• Must be willing to submit to a criminal record check 
• Must be willing to complete drug and alcohol tests when required 

Structure: Reports to the operation  manager. If the operations manager position is vacant, this position will report to the office manager 

Compensation: Hourly wage will start at $30.00/ hour dependant on experience and licensed class. Group benefits provided after three-month probationary period. Compensation is established as part of an annual performance review

• Must provide a current Drivers Abstract check prior to employment 
• Able and willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends 
• Must have a reliable vehicle for work purposes
