We currently have an opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Heavy Duty or Commercial transport mechanics, Or an opportunity for employer sponsorship partnership to the Apprentice Heavy Duty or Commercial Transport trade certification.

• You have a Satisfactory Driver's Abstract 
• Want to be home every night 
• Enjoy the challenge of working on Heavy Duty Equipment 
•  The opportunity to become a red seal Journeyman HD Mechanic through the employer 
• Sponsorship program with the ITA

Required Qualifications 

• Valid BC Driver's License, Minimum Class 3 is preferred, positive driving record 
• Certified Trade Journeyman 9in Heavy Duty Mechanics or Commercial Transport, or an aptitude/ Interest in working on heavy equipment 
• Physically fit and capable of performing job requirements 
• CVI Certification would be an asset, opportunity for this training is available 

This position is part of a team that maintains an equipment fleet of graders, loaders, sweepers, trucks, and winter maintenance attachments. knowledge and experience in preventative maintenance programs would be an asset 

Wages and benefit package as per the BCGEU Collective agreement. Positions available in South Vancouver Island, Revelstoke, Golden, West Kelowna, Merritt, and Quesnel BC
