Looking for a Part Time Success Center Tutor 

$30.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized tutoring and academic support across subjects and learning modalities

• Collaborate with Student Success Centre staff, faculty, Elders, and institute departments

• Promote student engagement in workshops, learning labs, mentorship, events, and cultural activities

• Support or facilitate academic workshops and invigilate exams in accordance with policies

• Maintain a clean, organized, and functional Success Centre

• Engage students professionally using trauma-informed, inclusive, and culturally safe practices

• Demonstrate commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and holistic student wellness

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (English preferred)

• Education and/or experience in Universal Design and Special Education preferred

• Understanding of Canada’s history and impacts on Indigenous peoples and ways of knowing

• Experience supporting Indigenous and Aboriginal adult learners; knowledge of Indigenous languages and cultures preferred

• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

• Ability to work flexible weekday, evening, and weekend hours

• Self-motivated, independent problem solver with a strong commitment to student service
