Is looking for a Part-Time Paint department Associate

Are you looking for a steady part-time role that is both challenging and rewarding? Merritt Home Hardware Building Center is looking for a motivated Part-Time Paint Department Associate to join our energetic team. If you are someone who is interested in helping customers to complete their interior and exterior paint projects, we want to hear from you! We will provide training

• Determine customer’s needs by asking open-ended questions
• Assist customers with finding all items needed to complete their paint and décor projects
• Tint and mix paint and stain
• Color matching paint from a customer’s sample
•  Process special orders for non-stock items
  Relieve as cashier when necessary
• Check inventory on shelves and restock product as required
• Completing maintenance of paint equipment, filling tint, calibrating and cleaning mixer
• Build special displays and signage for sales, promotions and other special events

• Sharp attention to detail and solid basic math skills
• Confidence using computers and the ability to memorize product codes
• Weekend availability (This is a requirement for the role)
