Is looking for an Employment & Training Coordinator-Driving Instructor
$50,000-$65,000
Tasks
- Coordinate and support employment and training programs for CNA members
- Assist participants with employment readiness, training pathways, and scheduling
- Liaise with internal departments, external training providers, employers, and community partners
- Maintain accurate participant records, tracking systems, and program documentation
- Support reporting requirements, funding, deliverables, and timelines
- Provide one-on-one guidance and ongoing support to participants
- Deliver or support driver education and road safety instruction
- Coordinate driving schedules, lesson planning and participant progress
- Ensure safety protocols, documentation, and instructional standards are followed
- Support the development, refinement, and growth of CNA’s driving instruction programming
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License (Held for a minimum of 3 years)
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in employment and training coordination, program administration, education, or community-based service delivery is an asset
- Experience supporting individuals through training, employment readiness, or skill development processes
- Experience maintaining records, schedules, and program documentation
- Willingness to complete vulnerable sectors check
- Willingness to submit 5-year Driver’s Abstract
- Willingness to complete a medical examination required for the Driving instructor certification
- Ability to work flexible hours when required to meet program needs
- Willingness to complete Driving instructor training, if already not certified
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Understanding of employment readiness, training pathways, and workforce development principles,
- Knowledge of road safety principles and driver education best practices (or willingness to learn),
- Awareness of Indigenous community contexts and culturally safe service delivery,
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse participants,
- Effective organizational and time-management skills,
- Ability to coordinate schedules, track progress, and manage multiple priorities,
- Clear documentation, reporting, and administrative skills,
- Instructional or coaching skills, including the ability to explain concepts clearly and patiently,
- Ability to build trust and supportive relationships with participants,
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment,
- Ability to adapt to evolving program needs and new responsibilities,
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment, and
- Ability to model safe, respectful, and professional behaviour at all times.
