Is looking for a Light Tow Truck Operator

$4,000-$6,000

Coquihalla Towing & Recovery is hiring a Rollback Tow Operator to run a Freightliner M2 rollback two truck based in Merritt. This truck focuses primarily on highway towing and vehicle transport throughout Merritt and surrounding highways including highway 5 (Coquihalla) and highway 97C. Tow experience is a asset, but training is available for the right candidate. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys highway driving, operating larger trucks, and working independently.

Typical calls

• Passenger vehicles
• Pickup trucks
• SUV’s and vans
• Small commercial vehicles
• Highway breakdowns and transports

Job Duties

• Respond to roadside assistance and towing calls
• Load and secure vehicles onto rollback deck
• Transport vehicles safely to repair shops or yards
• Perform winching and recovery when required
• Complete pre-trip and Post-trip inspections
• Maintain truck cleanliness and equipment readiness
• Communicate with dispatch and customers

Requirements

• Valid Class 5 license or higher
• Clean driving record
• Comfortable driving larger trucks
• Ability to work independently
• Comfortable working roadside on highways
• Good communication and customer service skills
