Is looking for a Tow Truck Operator

$50,000 per year

Tasks

• Operate light/medium/heavy duty tow trucks to provide towing services in the area in a safe and efficient manner
• Load/unload vehicles from various equipment. This may include use of chains, winches, wheel scoops, dollies, and other equipment
• Perform vehicle inspections to ensure safe and proper operation of equipment
• Load and secure vehicles on tow trucks and transport them to designated locations
• Ensure that all equipment is clean and in good working order
• Communicate with dispatch, customers, and service providers in a professional and friendly attitude
• Use of mobile phone dispatching application to accept and complete jobs
• Complete invoices & daily paperwork as required  
• Perform maintenance and upkeep of towing equipment and vehicles to ensure they are in proper working condition
• Coordinate with manager to schedule routine inspections and repairs
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems and components
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure that trucks are in good working order
• Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment
• Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance activities
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager

Qualification  

• A class 5 driver’s license is required
• Air breaks and heavy trailer endorsement/ class 3/ class1 experience driving commercially/ experience driving off road is a strong asset
• Basic knowledge of the area and mechanical knowledge would be a strong asset
• Ability to lift 50lbs and bend , twist, reach, climb stairs, stand for long period of time, and walk on uneven terrain
• Available to work flexible shifts
• Applicants must be able to accommodate the work site
• Candidates may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen
