Is looking for a Landfill Equipment Operator

$31.74

Tasks

• Safe and efficient operations of a variety of heavy equipment like excavators, bulldozers and compactors
• Performs daily safety and maintenance checks including oil fluids, greasing and reporting/tracking
• Carry out their regular duties associated with processing loads waste including compacting and covering
• Ensuring all visitors follow policies and procedures
• Able to work a variety of different weather conditions
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Other duties as required

Skills and Qualifications

• Able to listen, communicate and take direction
• Able to work individually and as a team
• Detail oriented with strong interpersonal skills
• 2 years’ experience operating various heavy equipment and routine inspections and maintenance
• Work experience with multiple different waste streams, recycling, or environmental service industry is an asset however not required
• Attention to detail, critical thinking, problem-solving
• Be a team player and contribute where needed
