Casual Cook

$25.61 per hour

Nicola Meadows Assisted Living is looking for a Casual Cook to join our kitchen team

We are looking for someone dependable, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment while preparing quality meals for our residents.

Willing to train the right candidate

Position details:

• Casual/on-call position
• Shifts may include weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Opportunity for additional coverage shifts

Duties Include:

• Preparing and serving meals according to menu plans
• Following safe food handling and sanitation procedures
• Assisting with prep work and kitchen cleaning tasks
• Ensuring quality, consistency, and presentation standards are maintained
• Working cooperatively with kitchen and care staff

Qualifications:

• Previous cooking or kitchen experience preferred
• Food Safe Certificate required (Or willingness to obtain one)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Experience in healthcare or seniors’ services considered an asset
