Is looking for a Landfill Labourer

Tasks
- Prepare and clean work site, load/unload materials, assist in laying out liners and removing workplace hazards
- Assist heavy equipment operators to secure special attachments to equipment, signal operators to guide them in moving equipment
- Level earth to fine grade specifications using rake and shovel
- Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment such as packers, skid steers
- Direct traffic at or near construction sites as requested
- Sound understanding of the issues involving ground disturbance
- Perform work following all construction safety protocols and programs
- Timely and accurate completion of all required paperwork
- Other responsibilities to support the safe and successful completion of the project
Requirements
- 1-2 years’ civil construction industry experience is preferred
- Previous experience with performing liner installations is ideal
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license is preferred
- Small equipment operation (Packer, skid steer) experience is an asset
- Completion of CSTS-2020, Ground Disturbance, and confined space training will be required prior to commencing project
- Basic understanding of construction principals and procedures
- Capable of working with minimal supervision
- Ability to follow directions closely
- Comfortable working in high-stress environment with weather fluctuations
- Familiar with construction industry safety standards and procedures
- Valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract
