Job Title:Finance Coordinator

Report To: Finance Manager 

Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent Hours Per Week: 35 hours a week

WAGE: $25.00 to $33/Hour (Based on experience and qualifications)

Position Start: As soon as possible

Conayt Friendship Society is a community-focused organization committed to supporting and empowering individuals and families. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Finance Coordinator to join our team and support our financial operations.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Finance Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the organization’s financial processes. This includes accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, record keeping, and administrative financial support.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Process accounts payable and respond to related inquiries
  •  Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Support invoicing and maintain accurate financial records
  • Prepare purchase orders and cheque requisitions
  • Assist with the annual budgeting process
  • Maintain donations and records and issue acknowledgements
  • Prepare and deliver bank deposits • Maintain funding agreements and assist with reporting requirements
  • Support payroll processes by organizing timesheets and leave forms
  •  Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Assist with audit preparation and requests • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Finance, or a related field
  • 2–4 years of related finance or accounting experience • Strong knowledge of financial and accounting systems (experience with Xyntax is an asset)
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes of work
  •  Experience with audit processes is considered an asset Skills & Abilities
  •  Proficient computer skills, including accounting software • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills 
  • Ability to communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders
  •  Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • High level of confidentiality, diligence, and reliability
  • Flexible, cooperative, and team-oriented approach Requirements
  • Valid Driver’s License 
  • Successful Criminal Record Check 
  • Proof of education and certification (if selected for interview)
  •  Minimum of three (3) professional references
