Is looking for a Civil Construction Supervisor

$40.00-$47.00

Responsibilities:

• Lead, coordinate, and supervise daily site activities across multiple crews or work areas
• Plan work activities and ensure materials, equipment, labour, and subcontractors are available when needed
• Read and interpret drawings and specifications to plan work and provide clear instructions to forepersons and crews
• Maintain responsibility for safety, quality, and environmental performance on site
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, environmental requirements, company protocols, and established metrics
• Identify hazards and ensure appropriate controls are implemented
• Coordinate material ordering, deliveries, and site logistics
• Maintain daily site records including:
  • Crew and equipment time
  • Material receiving
  • Production tracking and summaries of work completed
• Support crew development, training, and performance management
• Lead from the front line by being present in the field and engaged with crews
• Provide internal and external customer service excellence, including coordination with subcontractors and stakeholders
• Step in on the tools and equipment when coverage or operational support is required
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of civil construction industry experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity
• Proficient knowledge of road and underground utility construction techniques, materials, and supplies
• Valid class 5 driver’s license with reliable transportation
• Physically fit; able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including snow, rain, extreme heat, wind, sub-freezing temperatures
• Experience with Heavy Job Time Reporting considered an asset
• Computer experience (e.g. job reporting, email, spreadsheets) considered an asset
• Strong Safety Mindset with quality-focused approach and attention to detail
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills; able to work well in a diverse team environment
• Able to work independently while managing daily schedules and shifting priorities
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude and problem-solving capability
