Are you looking for a steady part-time role where the days fly by? Merritt Home Hardware Building Center is looking for an energetic weekend cashier to join our motivated sales team. If you are someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, we provide a fun, safe and supportive atmosphere to grow in. We are willing to train the right person.

What you’ll be doing:

• As the face of our front end, you will play a vital role in the customer experience
• Create great first impressions: Greet every customer with a friendly smile and help them find exactly what they need
• Efficiently process sales, returns, and account payments while handling cash with precision
• Work at a brisk pace to scan items ensuring inventory control, and restock shelves to keep the store looking its best
• Problem solve: Direct queries to the right team members and resolve customer issues to ensure everyone leaves happy
• Embrace the store culture: Keep the front-end tidy, organized, and ready for business

• A passion for excellence in customer service
• Sharp attention to detail and solid basic math skills
• Confidence using computers and the ability to memorize product codes
