We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Cook to join our team at Nicola Meadows assisted Living. In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious and appetizing meals that meet the dietary needs of our residents. Your enthusiasm for food service and commitment to food safety will ensure a positive dining experience for all. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes, dietary guidelines, and resident preferences
• Ensure all food handling and preparation practices adhere to food safety standards and regulations
• Serve meals in a timely manner, maintaining proper presentation and temperature
• Assist with meal planning, inventory management, and ordering supplies as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
• Follow proper food storage procedures to prevent spoilage and contamination
• Collaborate with staff to accommodate special dietary requirements and assist during meal service

 Requirements:

• Experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right candidate
• Knowledge of food handling safety protocols and sanitation standards
• Strong serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail
• Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and kitchen equipment operation
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Prior experience in assisted living or healthcare food service is a plus but not required
