Responsibilities:

• Set performance goals and project deadlines that align with the company's larger plans
• Delegate work to employees, track progress and provide constructive feedback throughout projects
• Build lasting relationships with vendors and customers
• Ensure employees adhere to company policies and legal regulations
• Enforce safety policies and procedures
• Maintain open lines of communication with employees, management and executives
• Motivate team members and create strategies to boost productivity
• Take the initiative to increase our production stats while reducing our total cost outlay
• Implement new strategies to benefit the business
• Willing and able to train and develop employees in their respective roles/skills
• Knowledge and understand of steel shop equipment and their safe operations (saws, radial drills, miscellaneous hand tools)

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years experience in a supervisory or managerial role
• Experience in the following trades an asset:  welding, fabricating, machining.
• Physically capable of lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds as necessary
• Must be safety conscious and able to adhere to Alpha Design safety practices
