Fountain Tire is looking for Automotive Tire Technician!
We’re looking for a motivated and reliable Automotive Tire Technician to join our team. If you take pride in your work, value safety, and want to grow your mechanical skill set, we’d love to hear from you.
What You’ll Do:
- Install, balance, rotate, and repair passenger and light truck tires
- Inspect wheels and tires for wear, damage, and inflation issues
- Adhere to required torque specifications and ensure tires are cleaned and prepped properly
- Complete industry training including TIA, WHMIS, and Customer Experience Standards
- Reset and repair tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS)
- Maintain and safely operate tire service and air equipment
- Handle specialty tire work (e.g., studding, run flats, nitrogen fills)
- Keep all tools and equipment clean, organized, and in safe working condition
- Drive and handle customer/company vehicles responsibly
- Support inventory control and participate in safety initiatives
What You Bring:
- Understanding of tire types, wear patterns, and specialty services
- Customer-focused attitude and good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Physically capable of lifting 25 kg consistently
- Basic computer literacy for training and certifications
- Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record
Preferred but Not Required:
- Previous tire or mechanical experience
- High school diploma or GED
