We are currently seeking qualified Heavy Duty Mechanics or Commercial Transport Mechanics to join our growing team and support upcoming and ongoing projects.

$42–$48 an hour

Responsibilities:

• Repair, overhaul, maintain, and service diesel-powered vehicles and equipment, including heavy trucks, graders, dump trucks, excavators, and pickup trucks.
• Fabricate, construct, install, and repair equipment and machinery.
• Diagnose equipment problems and determine required repairs.
• Perform daily safety and maintenance checks.
• Service fuel injection systems, exhaust systems, cooling systems, air conditioning, lubrication systems, engine control systems, perform major internal engine repairs, and install/align engines and machinery.
• Continuously seek to improve operations, reduce downtime, and streamline workflows.
• Represent Infracon and its stakeholders professionally and courteously.
• Perform other duties to support the success of the company and its operations.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Red Seal Journeyman Certification as a Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician or Commercial Transport Mechanic (required).
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean Driver’s Abstract.
• Occupational First Aid, WHMIS 2015, and H2S Alive certifications are considered assets.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong professionalism and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proven commitment to workplace safety.
• Willingness to travel and work out of town on project sites as needed.
• Must be able to pass Drug and Alcohol testing (project-dependent).

Safety Requirements:

• Basic PPE to be provided by the worker (steel-toe boots, high-visibility vest, hard hat, and safety glasses).
• Infracon will supply any specialized PPE required.
• Drug and Alcohol testing may be required, depending on the project.
• Safety certifications (e.g., First Aid, CSTS) are an asset.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

• Outdoor work in various conditions, including extreme temperatures, wind, dust, and uneven terrain.
• Frequent standing, walking, twisting, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
• Must be able to climb ladders and work from stationary platforms at heights.
