Howell Electric is currently hiring local Journeyperson Construction Electricians and all levels of apprentices for a commercial project located in Merritt, BC.

This position requires strong leadership & planning skills and the ability to maintain a positive relationship with many general contractors. This position also ensures that tasks are completed in a timely manner, while still following safe working procedures and maintaining an excellent quality of work.
Required Certificates & Skills:

Red Seal Electrician or completion of a Level 1 Apprenticeship Program

Reliable daily transportation to and from site
-
Must be hardworking, reliable, and show initiative
-
Must have work boots, a hard hat, and basic hand tools
-
Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing
-
Engage with others in a professional and respectful manner
-
Co-ordinate onsite activities for maximum efficiency
-
Demonstrated knowledge of Canadian electrical standards
-
Use company programs to keep track of tools & equipment leaving and arriving on site
-
Follow company safety policies and complete required safety forms
Desirable Certificates & Skills:

SiteReadyBC or WHMIS

Fall Protection

Aerial Lifts & Work Platforms

First Aid

Ability to schedule & plan ahead for manpower, material, and equipment

Familiarity with current Occupational Health and Safety Legislation & company safety policies

Ability to safely operate a variety of tools and instruct others on how to safely use hammer drills, wheel benders, hydraulic knockouts, coring drills, cable analyzers, power loggers, and cable pullers
Work Conditions:

5-day workweeks, Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm

Indoor & outdoor work in all weather conditions

Full PPE required at all times

Active construction site hazards

Physical ability to lift up to 40lbs

Must be comfortable working at heights & climbing ladders

Pay: $19.50-$40.00 per hour
