$ 28.00-$35.00 per hour

Tauruss Framing is a wood-frame construction company based in Kelowna, BC, working with multi-family and commercial builders throughout the Okanagan – including Kelowna, West Kelowna, Penticton, Vernon, and Merritt. We are seeking a Framing Carpenter for a Multi-family / Commercial framing project in Merritt, BC. We’re looking for someone with solid framing experience who can work efficiently and safely with minimal supervision, while continuing to grow their skills alongside our team.

Duties:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute framing projects
  • Construct wall frames, floors, roofs, and other structural components using hand tools and power tools
  • Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts or cranes when necessary for material handling or positioning
  • Perform concrete forming and finishing tasks as required for foundation or structural elements
  • Install siding, drywall, and other exterior or interior finishing materials to meet project standards
  • Conduct heavy lifting safely to move materials and framing components into place
  • Assist in restoration projects by repairing or replacing damaged framing structures
  • Read and accurately interpret building plans for multi-family and commercial builds

Skills:

  • Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding schematics for precise construction execution
  • Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, woodworking, and the use of hand tools and welding is a plus
  • Experience with concrete forming, finishing, and welding is a plus
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently on construction sites
  • Familiarity with siding installation, drywall hanging, and general construction processes
  • Excellent physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and follow detailed instructions
