Looking for Full Time Carpenters and Apprentices

$25–$37 an hour

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Carpenter or Apprentice to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in various carpentry tasks and a strong understanding of construction principles. This role involves working on diverse projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship, and collaborating with other trades to achieve project goals.

Responsibilities

• Construct, install, Repair and Maintain Buildings
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
• Rigging and placement of modular buildings
• Install formwork, place and finish concrete
• Construct walls, stairs, roofs, decks and ramps
• Install building envelope and exterior finishes
• Install interior systems and finishes including drywall, paint, suspended ceilings, doors, flooring and millwork
• Complete remediation and clean up as needed
• Conduct construction estimating to determine material needs and project timelines.
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
• Be safety minded with the ability to comply with company, client and regulatory requirements
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete projects efficiently.
• Collaborate with other team members, trades people, and clients
• Maintain a positive attitude and work as a component of a team, contribute to a positive work environment.

Experience

• Red seal ticket or equivalent in Carpentry an Asset.
• Proficiency in various aspects of construction, adapt to new tasks.
• Fall protection, first aid, AWP, RTFL, confined space tickets an asset.
• Experience in modular building and installation an asset.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required for this role.

Requirements

• Ability to pass a pre employment drug and alcohol test
• Local to Kamloops and area
• Flexibility on schedule and willingness to work OT an asset
• Willingness to travel when required an asset
• Industrial Projects Requiring 50-55 hours weekly
