Looking for a Part time Behaviour Interventionist
$35–$40 an hour
Kleos Open Learning, an Independent Online Learning School based out of Kelowna BC, is seeking IN PERSON, one-to-one support for one student with various inclusive education needs in MERRITT, BC.
The successful candidate must be comfortable supporting students with inclusive education designations such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), various learning disabilities, etc.
Candidates must feel comfortable working with a large, multi-disciplinary team. Emphasis on collaboration and building a positive relationship with the student is key. The BI will be working with a consultant and speech and language pathologist and implementing the programs provided to them by these professionals as well as a BC Certified Teacher.
Learning priorities for these student include speech goals, regulation activities, and behavioural goals.
Preference will be given to those with experience/training in working with students with inclusive education needs and supporting behaviour management.
Candidate would be required to travel to the student's home to implement a program provided from a distance by a Kleos BC Certified Teacher.
Our support staff must be professional, caring, flexible, work well with little supervision, participate in a team-based approach, and be comfortable using technology.
