Looking for a Casual / Freelance Interpreter
$26–$40 an hour

We focus on legal, medical, and private settings.
?Right now, we are looking to grow our team of in-person interpreters in British Columbia.
Languages Needed:
- Georgian
- Arabic
- Punjabi
- Zulu
- Hmong
- Hausa
- Nuer
- Dinka
- Khmer
- Tamasheq
- Low German
- Taishanese
- Hakka
- Vietnamese
?All other languages and dialects are welcome as well!
If you enjoy helping others through language, this might be a great fit for you.
What You Will Do:
- Interpret in person at medical, legal, or community settings
- Make sure your interpretations are clear and accurate
- Be reliable and professional at every assignment
- Travel to job sites using your own car or public transit
What You Need:
- You must speak English and one of the languages listed above
- You must live in British Columbia
- You need to be at least 18 years old
- You must be legally allowed to work in Canada
- A high school diploma or GED is required
- Interpreter training or certification is a big plus
- Experience with medical or legal interpretation is helpful
- You should know common terms used in hospitals or courts
- You need to be available weekdays between 8 AM and 5 PM
